Easy to make 2 Panel Crochet Top, Simple Summer Top

Meet AVA top. This is a first for me, I have never designed vertical top before and I am excited to share it with you. It is one of the basic way to design and perfect for someone trying garments for the first time. It is easy to modify in all aspects of the pattern. You can start with length, width, armpit depth and neck opening.

It is made up of 2 identical long rectangles then seamed together on the sides, front and back.

Modifying comes easy with starting chain to determine the length of the top. If you want it cropped, start with shorter chains and vice versa.

The width of the top can also be reduced or increased depending on Werther you want it true fit or oversized. This also worked with armpit width.

The stitch is simple as well. It is made form half double crochet alternating the hook in the front and back loop. The pattern needs multiples of 2.

I started with single crochet foundation. The detail when seaming it, is unique and looks clean. The depth of the neck line is also up to you. You can have the back of neck line higher than the front. The important thing is to have the head move through comfortable. The best part about this is, you can try it on as you seam and adjust it as you go.

The Yarn

I used Hobbii yarn called Unicorn and it super fine yarn.it is Polyamide and Merino Yarn. It is very soft, durable and has lot of colour options. My favourite part about it, is that. It is super washed merino which makes it easy for washing for everyday usage. It retains with shape well.
