Lightweight Crochet Pullover Sweater, Errands Sweater Pattern
This has been in the making for few years. I started with this yarn choice and but ended up with losing on yarn chicken because the yarn is discontinued. Isn’t the colour combo cute?!!
I am happy to finally share it with you with a different yarn. The Inspiration behind this was to create a light sweater that can be worn around the year. It all depends on what you pair it with.
The sweater is made with 2 Dk weight yarns. It is mixture of acrylic and Superwash merino. It is so soft and pleasure to work with. You can use any DK weight yarn as long as you meet the gauge. I would be interested to find out how Superwash Merino or Baby Alpaca would turn out as substitutes
Hello, World!
This pattern is perfect for Casual Fridays, is that still a thing? I know a lot of people are working from home now but you can still be stylish working from home.
The panels are made from top to bottom which made is easier to shape the neck opening. The back and front panels are the differentiated by the neck opening otherwise they are identical.
The sleeves are made bottom up starting with increases until you reach the armpit depth measurement for your size. After attaining the sleeve length, you move to adding the cuff with the contrast colour.
The final piece is to seam everything together. My favourite part is neck detail. The contrast on the final round is cherry on top.
The sweater is easy enough for an advanced beginner. I made this sweater using 3 main crochet stitches, half double crochet, double crochet and single crochet. You can find some tutorials here.
